Download the most recent Help file ().
All documentation is included in the PocketFMS installer, so basically you do not have to download anything from this page. To access the master Help file, press [F1] while PocketFMS Desktop is running. Only updates to the Help file in between of two PocketFMS releases will have to be downloaded here. An updated Help file is easily recognized: it has a version number higher than v1 (for example 1.2.1v3). The version number is mentioned on the very first page in the manual. You can start the download by clicking the [Latest Help file] button on the left. Most likely your browser or download manager will ask you what to do with the file (PocketFMS.chm). The best solution is to save it directly to your PocketFMS program folder, which is usually located at C:\Program Files\PocketFMS. It's safe to overwrite the version that's already present. PocketFMS will automatically use the updated file, provided you placed it correctly as described above. The help file can be opened either by double-clicking it in Explorer, or pressing the [F1] key in PocketFMS Desktop.
If you have a problem opening / reading the help file (you see the table of contents, but no text appears in the righthand pane), you may be experiencing a known Microsoft security issue. It is easily solved: in Explorer, right-click the PocketFMS.chm file, and select 'Properties'. There's an [Unblock] button there, press it and press [OK] - problem solved. This can also occur if you have installed PocketFMS on a network drive. In that case you'll need to set the correct security / access rights - or copy the Help file to your local harddisk.
