A flight planning example (5 of 10).

The Flight plan window contains a button labelled 'Avoid'. Pressing this button will bring up a screen where you can set your avoidance parameters.

Select which airspaces to avoid.

In this case we want to stay below 7000 ft MSL, avoid terrain higher than 7000 ft MSL, at least 500 ft AGL and below scattered clouds. Try these settings on a cloudy day in high terrain! PocketFMS will route you (if the current cloud base allows for it) even through mountain passes.

We also want to avoid class A and B airspaces, and any other "nasty" areas, like Danger, Restricted, Alert and Prohibited. Push the OK button, and PocketFMS starts computing a route according to your specifications.
