Pocket PC:
No incompatible hardware has been found so far. A few notes:
- Some brands of memory cards seem to generate problems on some PDA's. As soon as we've got a list of possibly incompatible brands it'll be posted here.
- Some PDA's, including but not limited to iPAQs from the 38xx series, experience problems (lockups and indexing problems mainly, though all forms of "weird behavior" could arise) that occur when using SD memory cards. Switching to CF cards solves these problems. These problems arise on iPAQ 3850's with ROM version 1.20 and 3870's with ROM version 2.20, but other machines may be affected as well. This has to do with those PDA's not being able to correctly handle SD cards, often leaving a card format as the only option to reliably re-use it.
GPS:
All GPS's that are unable to produce NMEA 0183 output are incompatible with PocketFMS. PocketFMS requires the NMEA GGA, GSA, GSV, RMC and VTG sentences. Some GPS receivers do not output all sentences by default, but usually these can be enabled by the user. For a procedure to do this, please see this page.
