Airspace colors in info Windows

Postby Rhoditis » Wed Oct 13, 2010 16:25

The airspaces appear with their colors when viewed in the Airspace Info window (Right click -> Functions -> Airspace Info. This helps.

Wouldn’t it be a good idea to follow the same logic when the Airspaces are mentioned in the Window under menu “Comms-Info” -> “Airspace” ? Using the same colors would add some consistency and would also inform easier the type of airspace is in front.

Many thanks

Hi George,

Unless I'm badly mistaken, that's not the case.

The colours int hee airspace info window mean something else entirely!

Dark blue=airspace below your current altitude
Green= Airspace at your current altitude
Light blue= airspace above your current altitude.

But of course, no reason why the comms & info shouldn't follow the same logic.

Hi Colm,

You are absolutely right, I never paid too much attention to those colors and I thought they were reflecting the type of Airspace. Again the RTFM syndrom...

In the window I was talking about my hope was that the the text describing the Airspace you are flying in or arriving to would use its color, being a visual warning.

Many thanks for the precision of your answers, as usual.
