is now available for public download. Whatever program, data or requirements changes have taken place is all documented in the Release Notes section. The software is fully functional and not crippled or limited in any way; it's the real thing. When you first run the program, you will be asked to register. This is a one-time only process, by which you will get a serial number to unlock the programs. Without the serial number, it simply will not work. The serial number will usually be emailed to you within minutes after registering. Once you have entered the serial number, PocketFMS will function without any restrictions for a period of 30 days. After that period you will need a subscription to be able to continue using PocketFMS. There is no need fear for your privacy when you hand us your email address or any other information, as you can read in our Privacy Policy.
PocketFMS DataPacks are available from our Members Only section of this website, and contain MapData and ElevData for a specific large region of the world. Using a DataPacks might save you from long downloads. To log in on Members Only, you'll need your email address and the matching serial number.
Why do I have to download the manual separately?
Generally, you don't have to! The latest version is usually included in the package you download. Occasionally, it may be necessary to amend the help file between program versions because of errors, changed procedures or other flaws. To determine if your help file needs an update, check out its version number. You can find it by pressing the F1 key from within PocketFMS, and click the top-most item ('About PocketFMS'). The first line will show the version number, this should be
